U-20 Afcon winner Frank Assinki joins KFUM Rokslide on loan

Ghana defender Frank Assinki has been farmed out on loan to KFUM Roksilde in the Danish third-tier by HB Køge.

The centre-back just returned from helping the Black Satellites win the 2021 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) tournament held in Mauritania.

Assinki, 18, who joined from sister club Inter Allies last year, featured in 9 matches for HB Køge and has been sent out for the rest of the season for more game time.

“From the autumn, we have good experiences with having some of our very young players on loan at YMCA Roskilde this autumn.

“We are therefore pleased that again in the spring we were able to enter into an agreement with YMCA, Roskilde to send some of our young players on grass with them.

“Assinki has a lot of talent, and is around Ghana’s U20 national team, but he has to go out and have playing time – and more than there is a prospect with us in the spring – if he is to continue the development,” HB Køge director Per Rud stated.
