Hafiz Konkoni netted an 89th-minute equalizer as Bechem United snatched a 1-1 draw against Ebusua Dwarfs in a close match-day 17 contest in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League at Fosu Gyeabour Park Sunday.
The Hunters looked headed for their first home defeat in 9 matches this campaign but a late surge saw Konkoni turning defeat into their fourth draw at the grounds.
A Benjamin Acquah effort on the 45th-minute mark had put Dwarfs ahead.
With all the late pressure, the hosts failed in their push for a win but will console themselves with Konkoni’s equalizer which sees them escape with a point.
Bechem United have now not won in their last three league games, two of them have been drawn games at home.
The Hunters – on 24 points and with a game in hand against Asante Kotoko – resume the second round of the season in a fortnight with the reverse of Sunday’s fixture – a trip to Cape Coast to face Dwarfs.
