U-20 Afcon: Ghana make one line-up change for Morocco clash

Coach Karim Zito has effected just one change to Ghana’s starting line-up for Friday night’s clash with Morocco at the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).

Patrick Mensah gets into the XI in place of Eric Ansu Appiah for the Black Satellites in the only alteration made to the team deployed in the 4-0 hammering of Tanzania in their Group C opener last Tuesday.

Danlad Ibrahim retains his position in post and will once again start the game as skipper of the side with Frank Assinki and Nathaniel Adjei in central defense.

Samuel Abbey-Ashie Quaye and Philemon Baffour will be on the left and right sides of defense respectively.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku who was the MVP from the group opener will be in midfield while Emmanuel Essiam and Patrick Mensah play in front of the defense.

Coach Zito retained his attacking trio that as Joselpho Barnes, Precious Boah and Mohammed Sulemana all start up front.

A win for Ghana will ensure qualification to the knockout round of the tournament.
