Chadian referee Alhadi Allaou Mahamat has been handed the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) first quarterfinal clash between Cameroon and Ghana.
The match is scheduled for 16:00 GMT at Stade Olympique in Nouakchott on Thursday, February 25.
Allaou Mahamat’s last involvement with a Ghanaian side was when local giants Hearts of Oak travelled to beat Senegal’s Olympique de Ngor 3-2 in a Caf Confederation Cup round of 32 second-leg in April 2015.
On Thursday, the 35-year-old will be assisted by Modibo Samake from Mali (Assistant Referee I), Eric Ayimavo Ayamr Ulrich from Benin (Assistant Referee II) and Pierre Ghislain Atcho from Gabon (Fourth Official).
Jospin Luckner Malonga from Central Africa Republic has been appointed VAR/Assistant Referee III.
Wajdi Aouadi from Tunisia will serve as Match Commissioner.
