King Faisal beat Medeama on Kwame Peprah stoppage-time goal

The captain increased his tally to 8 goals in 12 appearances.

King Faisal snatched a dramatic 1-0 win at home to Medeama SC in their 2020/21 Ghana Premier League match-day thirteen encounter Tuesday afternoon.

It was Faisal skipper Kwame Peprah who netted with a header in the 1st minute of stoppage time to spark delirious celebrations at the Techiman Ohene Ameyaw Park.

In a game of few clear-cut chances, the hosts looked up for it more and felt they were denied a blatant penalty just before the interval after Medeama goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi floored Zubairu Ibrahim with a challenge inside the penalty box.

But Faisal finally got their reward just inside added time with Peprah heading home his 8th goal in 12 appearances this campaign.

Despite the win, King Faisal remain second from bottom of the 18-team league standings but they move six points clear of basement club Inter Allies who have amassed just 7 from 13 matches.

Also, Medeama – who are 4 points ahead of Faisal – drop from 9th to 12th place after their fourth defeat on the road this season.
