#FootyTransfers: Salifu Ibrahim joining Hearts till 2024

Midfielder Salifu Ibrahim has sealed terms of a three-year contract with local giants Hearts of Oak.

On Friday afternoon, the 20-year-old flew into Accra in the company of his manager to firm up his part of the deal with the Phobians who had already reached an agreement with his club Techiman Eleven Wonders.

Hearts are paying an amount in the region of GH₵70,000 as transfer fee with Salifu expected to take no less than GH₵3,000 as salary. No signing on fee is involved, Footy-Ghana.com sources indicate.

The deal – which is to run till the end of the 2023/24 season – is subject to Salifu passing a mandatory medical.

The left-footed attacking midfielder caught the eye of many after a blistering start to the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League. Four man-of-the-match awards saw him nominated for the season’s first monthly gong which went to Great Olympics’ Gladson Awako.

Salifu Ibrahim earned a call-up to the Black Stars when coach CK Akonnor named 32 locals for preparations towards next month’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
