Fabin: My services are no more needed at Aduana

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has officially severed ties with two-time Ghana Premier League champions Aduana FC.

The former Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and Inter Allies recently had his one-year contract expire but stuck around for two more matches while attempts were made to get him to renew his stay.

But it appears the club could not meet his demands for improved terms and squad beef-up.

“It’s true that I have left Aduana FC following the expiration of my one-year contract with the club,” Fabin told Kessben FM.

He then revealed: “I organized a justify-your-inclusion exercise to recruit players to bolster the squad.

“I submitted the list of players to be signed but got a response from the management team that my services are no more needed at the club.

“I have accepted that in a good faith. Let me thank the club, fans and the life patron of Aduana Nana Agyeman Badu II for the opportunity.

“Currently, I am in Kumasi and now available for any club,” he added.

Fabin took over the reins at Aduana in February 2020 and supervised the Fire Club in 20 league matches (including four from the cancelled 2019/20 season) – winning and drawing 8 times each with four defeats.

The former Ghana U-17 gaffer leaves Aduana sitting 5th with 24 points from 16 matches in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League standings.
