AshantiGold put an end to a six-game winless run with a 4-0 home victory over Aduana FC in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL) Friday afternoon.
Midfielder David Abagna was on fire in the match-day 15 fixture with a second-half brace while Frank Akoto and Yaw Annor scored the opening two goals to ensure victory at Len Clay Stadium.
AshantiGold took the lead via a spot-kick converted by defender Frank Akoto in the 27th minute.
Winger Yaw Annor then struck his fifth goal of the campaign to double the lead on the half-hour mark.
1-0 the first half ended.
David Abagna began to run the show in the second half and scored in the 64th minute.
With the game looking 3-0, Abagna struck again on the 90th. He was named NASCO man-of-the-match.
The 4-0 result moves AshantiGold just above Aduana in the standings on better goal advantage. Both teams have 21 points from 15 matches.
