Thomas Partey injury boost for Arsenal ahead of Man Utd clash

Arsenal have been handed a major boost ahead of their clash with Manchester United as Thomas Partey is set to be available for selection.

The midfielder, who has started just six Premier League games this season due to injury, was forced off in the second half of the 3-1 win over Southampton on Tuesday.

Partey emerged as a doubt for Saturday’s huge clash with the Red Devils. But Goal report he is on course to be fit to play having recovered well and made good progress ahead of the game.

Emile Smith Rowe also limped off against the Saints and Arteta was giving little away when asked about the pair this week.

“I don’t know,” said Arteta on Thursday.

“They had some discomforts in different parts, Thomas and Emile, and we will have to see how they evolve.

“We still have some days until the game but not long so let’s see how they recover.”

Whilst there is positive news on Partey, Smith Rowe seemingly remains a question mark.
