Sharks and Dreams battle out entertaining 2-2 draw

Elmina Sharks and Dreams FC fought out an enthralling 2-2 draw in a Ghana Premier League match-day 11 fixture at Nduom Sports Complex Sunday afternoon.

Striker Agyenim Boateng Mensah gave the visitors the lead in the most stunning fashion as early as the 6th minute

Strike partner Joseph Esso dinked the ball from a free-kick to Agyenim who decided to score with a  spectacular bicycle kick.

Sharks responded with the equalizer through Dennis Mensah in the 26th minute after a Benjamin Tweneboah assist.

Moments before halftime break, the hosts were handed a penalty after a handball incident against Dreams skipper Abdul Jalilu.

Tweneboah turned up and converted the spot-kick and gave Sharks a 2-1lead.

Sulemana Fahadu would, in the 66th minute, make the Believers’ attacking forays count by unleashing a powerful shot past  Sharks goalkeeper Bawa.

The two sides settled for a 2-2 stalemate.

This means Dreams FC have gone unbeaten in their last five games and stay 10th on the league log after 11 games. Elmina Sharks, however, place just above them a point better with 15.
