Ajax eye Kamaldeen Sulemana signing from Nordsjaelland

Kamaldeen inherited the number 10 shirt made vacant by the departure of Kudus to Ajax.

Ghana’s teen sensation, Kamaldeen Sulemana could follow in the footsteps of compatriot Kudus Mohammed by joining Ajax Amsterdam from FC Nordsjaelland.

Several reports from the Netherlands indicate the Dutch champions are courting the 18-year-old winger as a possible replacement for Quincy Promes who looks to be on his way to join Spartak Moscow.

Promes, 29,  is said to be wanted by the Russian giants and Ajax would be ready to do business once an acceptable offer is tabled.

Ajax have been following Kamaldeen Sulemana, who can play from both the left and the right, for quite some time but are said to face stiff contention from German side Bayer Leverkusen in the transfer market.

However, Ajax enjoy some good rapport with Nordsjaelland, having successfully dealt with the Norwegian topflight side over Kudus in the summer. They hope for another one after their scouting landed on courting for the young talent.

Sulemana has been capped twice by Ghana at the senior level – playing his first games against Mali and Qatar during the October 2020 international break.

He is just under a year in Europe after his promotion from feeder club Right to Dream Academy to the FC Nordsjaelland first team in February 2020.

Kamaldeen Sulemana has scored four goals and made three assists in 12 matches in this season’s Danish Superliga.
