Kotoko CEO given ultimatum over $15k Nat Asamoah agency charge

Asante Kotoko CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah has been handed a five-day ultimatum to pay 15,000 to a football agency or face a showdown in court.

The transfer of striker Nathaniel Asamoah from Medeama to Raja Casablanca in 2015 was jointly led by Amponsah’s agency, PHAR Partnerships and another Pinnacle Sports Management.

But according to Pinnacle, they are yet to receive their share of the fee and their checks from Medeama indicate Nana Yaw Amponsah, then a Licensed Fifa Intermediary, received the money.

An executive of the Pinnacle team, Percy Allotey, has therefore cautioned the Kotoko management head to pay $15,000 or expect a lawsuit soon.

“Our agency teamed up with Nana Yaw Amponsah in the transfer of Nathaniel Ohene Asamoah from Medeama sc to Raja Casablanca in the year 2015.

“Per the agreement, we have a difference of $15,000 to be paid to us by Medeama SC.

“After consulting Medeama SC, we learnt they have given the money to Nana Yaw Amponsah.

“As we speak we have tried calling Nana Yaw Amponsah on several occasions but he declined our calls,” Allotey told Kumasi-based Fox FM.

Percy Allotey further stated the agency’s firm action in claiming the money by listing top persons who have been copied in their 5-day ultimatum letter.

“We have handed the case to our lawyers. We have given Nana Yaw Amponsah five days ultimatum to pay us or face us in court.

“We have written a demand letter to Nana Yaw Amponsah and copied Mr Kofi Badu (Chief of Staff Manhyia Palace), Prof Dr Kwame Kyei Baffour (Board Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC), Mr Emmanuel Dasoberi (Administrative Manager Asante Kotoko SC), and Mr Moses Armah Parker (Owner of Medeama SC).”
