I want to coach Hearts someday – Barnes

Ex-Ghana U-17 captain, Sebastian Barnes is aiming to coach boyhood club Hearts of Oak in their nearest future.

Barnes, who started his senior career with the Phobians, currently resides in Germany where he has acquired the Fifa License B coaching certificate.

The 43-year-old says it will be a dream come true to coach his former club.

“Whether rain or shine, I will want to serve Hearts of Oak.

“I want to use Hearts as a springboard to launch my coaching career in Ghana.

“It will be mathematically wonderful for me to coach Hearts.

“It is in the pine line and I will surely coach Hearts of Oak someday,” Barnes told Akoma FM.

Sebastian Barnes represented Ghana in two Fifa U-17 World Cup tournaments – Italy 1991 and Japan 1993.

After leaving Hearts, he had stints in Germany with Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Mainz 05.

He is looking forward to studying for the CAF License certificates to make him eligible to coach in Ghana and beyond.
