Two goals from Franklin Osei handed Karela United a 2-1 turnaround win over Dreams FC Sunday, lifting the Aiyinase-based club to the summit of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League (GPL) log after match-day 3.
New boy Joseph Esso scored for the successive game to hand the visitors a shock lead in the 37th minute at Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park after a brilliant combination with Victor Oduro. But that was short-lived.
Osei made it 1-1 just three minutes later, firing a free-kick past Dreams keeper Solomon Agbasi – a first goal of the campaign for the Karela number 29.
Five minutes past an action-packed hour mark saw Franklin Osei register his brace for the hosts and ultimately sealed a 2-1 victory for the ‘Pride and Passion’ side.
Coach Evans Adotey’s men go top of the log with 7 points from three games.
