Black Stars coach, Charles Akonnor has given a late call-up to Asante Kotoko defender Christopher Nettey for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers with Sudan.
Ghana face Sudan in the third and fourth games in Group C of the qualifiers to the Cameroon Afcon.
Nettey will be the latest to be handed a late invitation to the Black Stars after Turkey-based duo Joseph Attamah and Afriyie Acquah as well as Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Majeed Ashimeru.
The 22-year-old right-back steps in as a replacement for Columbus Crew’s Harrison Afful who will miss the November 12 and 17 games.
The Black Stars are top of Group C with 6 points after recording wins over South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
