Our price tag for Justice Blay is realistic – Medeama CEO

Ghana Premier League side, Medeama SC say their asking price for the permanent sale of Justice Blay to Kotoko is a realistic one.

The defensive midfielder, who enjoyed a fruitful loan spell with the Porcupine Warriors last season, was expected to stay in Kumasi.

But the monetary demands from the Tarkwa-based outfit have not been met by Kotoko.

Medeama Chief Executive Officer James Essilfie in an interview with Wontumi FM, revealed that their demand was really in Kotoko’s reach.

“Our demands from Kotoko regarding the sale of Justice Blay is realistic. It is not something out of order.

“But they [Kotoko] are not ready to meet our valuation. It is not the $100,000 which has been bandied in the media; it’s far below that.

“So we asked Blay to report to Tarkwa which he did and even had his medical yesterday. We’ve worked on him and he is happy to reunite with his colleagues.

Justice Blay completed his medicals with Medeama on Thursday and will soon join his mates in training.

The Yellow and Mauves led the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League before its cancellation due to COVID-19.
