Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have denied claims of unfair treatment from the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG).
The Porcupine, in a letter signed by Administrative and Operations Manager Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, confirmed receipt of PFAG’s letter and further denied the claims from the player welfare body.
PFAG claim some players of Kotoko say they have not gone through the mandatory COVID-19 test conducted by the club before the start of pre-season last Tuesday.
Also, the said players reported their removal from the club’s WhatsApp platform and therefore have no access to information in the club.

Responding to the claims, Kotoko say they have no “registered WhatsApp group” and their channels of information to their players does not include conversations on the said group created by the players.
Furthermore, the Kumasi-based outfit has not shared their pre-season plans to any institution and that includes the COVID-19 testing of the playing and technical body.
Lastly, the Porcupines expressed their discontent on the signatory of the PFAG’s letter (Yusif Chibsah) who is a known Fifa Intermediary and is a representative of over 12 members of the team.
