Karim Zito: £45m Partey must quickly adapt to Arsenal style

Black Satellites head coach, Abdul Karim Zito has charged Thomas Partey to quickly adapt at new club Arsenal.

The 27-year-old joined the Gunners from Spanish club Atlético Madrid on a long term deal after the Gunners activated his £45m release clause on the transfer deadline day.

Partey is expected to strengthen Arsenal’s midfield and Zito wants the Black Stars deputy captain to adjust to life in London if he must flourish.

“To me, it is not a bad move because Arsenal is equally a very good club.

“But he [Partey] has to adapt to life and the way they play.

“Arsenal don’t romance too much football, they like touch and move and passing as well.

“To me he is one of the greatest we have now and the world has acknowledged him as such.

“He should be able to adapt to any situation he finds himself because he will be popular with Ghanaians and the rest of the world,” Zito told Adamu Muftawu.

Thomas Partey joins Arsenal after seven seasons with Atlético Madrid.

He came through Atléti’s youth system and has spent time on loan at Real Mallorca and Almeria before cementing a place in the side.
