I will gladly accept to be Hearts assistant coach – Amankwah Mireku

Hearts of Oak legend, Yaw Amankwah Mireku has expressed a desire to return to the club in a coaching capacity.

The 40-year-old former right-back, who had a glittering career with Phobians, has in recent days linked to the vacant assistant coach job of the Phobians.

“It will be a big privilege to serve my former club as an assistant.

“I will gladly accept the offer to serve my former club with my knowledge.

“The work is not bigger than me so if I’m called to put smiles on the faces of the fans, why not? Because the supporters matter to the club.

“I have acquired knowledge in coaching so the task ahead is achievable.

“Even if I am without a coaching license, I’m ready to help the club with my practical knowledge,” Amankwah Mireku told Otec FM.

Hearts of Oak are currently Cape Coast preparing for the upcoming season.
