Alert or no deal – Medeama tell Kotoko in last-ditch effort to sign Justice Blay

Giants Asante Kotoko have, in the final hours of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League first transfer window deadline day, made a final push to re-sign Justice Blay on a permanent deal.

The Porcupine Warriors have failed to meet Medeama SC’s valuation of the 28-year-old midfielder since the expiration of his impressive loan spell with the club.

Footy-Ghana.com understands Medeama initially placed a GH¢300,000 tag on the defensive midfielder but later lowered their asking price which Kotoko have still not been able to meet.

Latest development, according to our sources, indicates the interest in Blay from the Kotoko camp was revived on transfer deadline Saturday with an unnamed board member leading the charge.

However, Medeama though seem to have their monetary demands being met, insist on receiving the fee involved in whole into their accounts before sanctioning the Blay transfer.

It remains to be seen if Asante Kotoko can pull this late move to land the fan favourite back to Kumasi.
