Bernard Mensah grabbed a goal in his first Turkish Super Lig. appearance for loan club Besiktas Sunday evening.
The Ghana midfielder helped the Black and Whites secure an impressive 3-1 win away to Trabzonspor in their opening match of the 2020/21 league season.
Besiktas opened the score in the 29th minute from the boot of Tyler Boyd.
The visitors held on to the slim lead into the break.
Besiktas exerted more energy in the second half which resulted in a penalty which was converted Mensah in the 64th minute.
Ten minutes after, Jeremain Lens made the score 3-0, putting the game beyond Trabzonspor.
The home side pulled a consolation through Abdulkadir Omur in the 86th minute.
Bernard Mensah lasted 81 minutes with fellow Ghanaian Caleb Ekuban playing 78 minutes for Trabzonspor.
