Kamal Deen is one for the future – Black Stars coach

Black Stars head coach Charles Akonnor says new member Kamal Deen Sulemana is an exciting prospect for the team’s future.

The young attacker has been named in the 23-man list for Ghana’s friendly against Mali on October 9 in Turkey.

Kamal Deen, 18,  is among five players who have had their debut call-ups to the national team.

The FC Nordsjaelland forward’s inclusion somehow surprises most local football fans but according to coach Akonnor, Kamal has talent for the team’s future.

“Kamal is a good player, young and I think he needs patience and time. We need to start developing and looking at the next 4 or 5 years.

“He reminds me of Jeremy Doku, unfortunately he.iss now for Belgium. These guys should not be pushed too much.

“They need to be slowly developed. I think he needs to be brought around the team to see the likes of Dede Ayew the captain and the other top guys.

“They will help him to be a better player and he’s one for the future.”

Kamal Deen was nurtured at the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana before moving to sister club FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark.

Ajax winger Mohammed Kudus also earned his national team call-up last year, while playing for the Danish outfit.
