My immediate target is to win the league with Hearts – Attah

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Richard Attah has set a personal target of winning next season’s league with the Phobians.

Attah, 25, joined the Phobians from Elmina Sharks and went on to make 12 appearances with 6 clean sheets and conceding 8 goals in the cancelled 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

The burly goalkeeper had been invited by Black Stars coach, Charles Akonnor for the 2021 Afcon qualifiers but will have to wait following the postponement of the games due to COVID-19.

Speaking to MoTV, Attah aims to break the 9-year trophy drought with Hearts of Oak.

“It is my dream to win the league with Hearts of Oak and go to Africa with the club.

“These are two of my biggest dreams I want to achieve with Hearts of Oak.

“We go one step at a time and my immediate target is the league.

“It has been long Hearts won the league as we all know and I will love to win the league first,” he told MoTV’s Shaban Mohammed.

Hearts of Oak had gathered 21 points out of 14 matches with an outstanding game against King Faisal before COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

The start of next season is yet to be officially announced but is expected to kickstart sometime in October.
