AshantiGold have reached a deal to sign winger Yaw Arnol from Ghana Premier League rivals Bechem United.
The paperwork between both clubs is to be completed Wednesday afternoon, Footy-Ghana.com is informed.
Arnol, 22, has completed a mandatory medical and will be signing to a three-year contract.
The 2016 MTN FA Cup best player becomes the first signing of the Miners ahead of their domestic and continental campaigns in the 2020/21 season.
AshantiGold beat off competition from regional rivals Asante Kotoko to Yaw Arnol who breifly trained with them in August 2019 before reverting to Bechem for the cancelled 2019/20 season.
In March 2020, Arnol told Oyerepa FM: “It’s true Kotoko have shown interest in me but I have left everything to my club. I am a player and should all go well, I will gladly join them. I am very sure I can secure a starting spot should I join them. The ball is now in the court of Bechem and Kotoko.”
Yaw Arnol has previously enjoyed spells with Spanish lower-tier clubs CF Fuenlabrada and Burgos CF.
