Dutch giants, Ajax have officially announced the signing of Ghanaian teenager Mohamed Kudus from Nordsjælland.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder attracted attention with his performance in the Danish Superliga. He scored 12 goals and 1 assist in 28 appearances in the just-ended season.
And Ajax – who have been on the lookout for offensive reinforcement following the sale of Hakim Ziyech – swiftly moved to make him their third summer signing after Maarten Stekelenburg and Antony.
Per reports, will pay Nordsjælland €9m for his signature in exchange for Kudus who has agreed to a five-year contract.
The club announced:
“Ajax has reached an agreement with Mohammed Kudus and FC Nordsjaelland about the transition from the Ghanaian to Amsterdam.
“The multifunctional midfielder/attacker will sign a contract that will take effect immediately and has a term of 5 years, until June 30, 2025.”
Mohammed Kudus has been handed jersey number 20.
