Hearts of Oak was a perfect platform; I have no regrets – Seth Owusu

Former Accra Hearts of Oak left-back,Seth Owusu says he has no regrets playing for the Phobians.

Owusu, who was signed by now Black Stars coach, Charles Akonnor in 2011 from Medeama SC, had a tumultuous term leading to his exit from the club in just a season.

Despite his patchy time with the Phobians, the imposing figure has ruled out any form of regret under Charles Akonnor.

“To say I regret playing for Hearts of Oak I will say a complete no.”

“Because it has become a lesson in my life.”

“Whatever that comes your way, you should pick lessons out from them.”

“Honestly despite the financial difficulty of the club, they never owed me any money.

“All that was due me was paid and Hearts of Oak does not owe me.”

“Hearts of Oak is a big club and playing for them is a big platform so no regrets at all.” He told Adamu Muftawu

The 29-year-old had his challenges compounded when coach Akonnor was replaced by David Duncan in 2012 leading to struggles for playing time.

He left the Phobians on mutual terms and has since spent four years with four different clubs in Angola where he currently plays for Desportivo Huíla.

Prior to playing in Angola, he had a spell in South Africa with Golden Arrows.
