Golden Boy 2020: Mohammed Kudus makes 80-man shortlist [VOTE HERE]

Ghana and new AFC Ajax midfielder, Mohammed Kudus has made the 80-player shortlist for the 2020 Golden Boy award.

Italian Newspaper Tuttosport – the award organizers – last month announced an initial list of 100 players and have now trimmed it down to 80.

Kudus remains in the knocked-down list facing competition from other rising stars like Alphonso Davies, Myron Boadu, Phil Foden, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood, Erling Haaland and Bukayo Saka.

To qualify for the award, which is decided via a public vote, players must be under 21 years and competing in a top tier domestic league across Europe

Kudus, 19, has been a shining light with FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark over the past two years, prompting Dutch giants AFC Ajax to sign and make him Ghana’s most expensive teenager this week.

On his senior debut for Ghana in November 2019, Mohammed Kudus scored against South Africa in a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
