#FootyTransfers: Agyemang Diawusie joins Dynamo Dresden until 2022

SG Dynamo Dresden have announced the signing of German-born Ghanaian attacker Agyemang Diawusie from FC Ingolstadt 04.

The 22-year-old winger, on Friday, signed a two-year contract with the 3. Liga side until June 30, 2022, with an option to extend.

Both clubs agreed not to disclose the transfer modalities.

“Agyemang Diawusie is a fast-paced, fast-paced and very athletic player who can be used on both the right and left wing. We see him as a player with a lot of development potential,” said Dynamo’s sports manager Ralf Becker.

The seventh newcomer for the coming season successfully completed a mandatory medical on Friday morning before signing his contract at the Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital in Dresden.

“I would like to take the next step at Dynamo and constantly develop myself further. I am someone who prefers actions to words rather than words and want to convince on the pitch. So much can be said: I will do everything I can to take my chance at SGD,” Diawusie told his new club’s website.

Agyemang Diawusie was born in Berlin on February 12, 1998 and played for SV Fortuna Regensburg, SSV Jahn Regensburg, 1. FC Nürnberg and RB Leipzig.

At Leipzig (2015-2017), Diawusie featured three times for the second team in the regional league in addition to the A-juniors.

After a loan to SV Wehen Wiesbaden in the 2017/18 season, Diawusie joined FC Ingolstadt 04, who was playing in the 2nd Bundesliga at the time. In early 2019, he returned to Wiesbaden on loan until the end of the season.

In the past season, the 1.80-meter offensive man in Ingolstadt made ten appearances in the third division, in which he got two assists.

Agyemang Diawusie has represented the German national team at the Under-15 and 19 levels.
