VIDEO: Kamaldeen sumptuous strike saves point for Nordsjaelland

Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana emerged from the bench to score a crucial goal for FC Nordsjaelland to draw 1-1 at home to FC Copenhagen in the Danish Superliga on Sunday.

The trio of Kudus Mohammed, Abdul Mumin Suleman and David Atanga received starting berths while Kamaldeen was among a quartet of compatriots like Maxwell Woledzi, Clinton Antwi and Francis Abu on the substitutes list of the hosts at the Right to Dream Park.

FC Copenhagen shot themselves into the lead through Jens Stage, who freely headed home a corner kick, in the 22nd minute.

The visitors managed to maintain the 1-0 lead the entire first half after seeing Nordsjaelland rudely denied an earlier equalizer by an offside decision in the 37th minute.

But Kamaldeen would come on in the second half to save Nordsjaelland their blushes against a bogey side.

He replaced countryman David Atanga in the 57th minute, then went on to grab a much-needed equalizer with a sumptuous strike in the 66th.

Black Stars midfielder Kudus Mohammed, who has been linked with a big move away from Nordsjaelland in the upcoming transfer window, could not last the entire duration of the match.

Kudus made way for another Ghanaian – Francis Abu – just on the 80th-minute mark.

FC Nordsjaelland would next travel to face on Wednesday, June 17.
