Frank Nuttall: Former Hearts coach lands Township Rollers job

Top Botswana club Township Rollers have announced the appointment of Scottish coach Frank Nuttall on a six-month contract.

Nuttall, who played for Glasgow Celtic and Hamilton Academicals, has experience on the African continent after leading Ghana’s Hearts of Oak as well as Kenyan side Gor Mahia and will replace Thomas Trucha.

“Nuttall also possesses qualifications in Physical Education and Human Movement from Cardiff Metropolitan University as well as an MSc Sports Science from Loughborough University,” Rollers said in a statement.

“He has worked in various coaching roles such as first-team assistant coach and fitness coach at some British football clubs, including Glasgow Rangers in Scotland, Cardiff in Wales as well as Middlesbrough and West Brom in England.”

Nuttall won two Kenya championships Gor Mahia, leading the team on an unprecedented 47-game unbeaten run.

Rollers are currently fourth in the Premier League table, three points behind leaders Orapa United, but with a game in hand.
