#FootyTransfers: Ebenezer Ofori rejoins AIK after four years

Ghana midfielder Ebenezer Ofori has secured a return to Swedish football by signing with former club AIK.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a successful four-year spell with the Allsvenskan giants after joining from New Edubiase United in 2013. During that spell, he featured 83 times for the Capital-based club and scored 4 goals.

In 2017, Ofori sold to German side VfB Stuttgart. He, however, found it difficult to break into the first team and was forced out on loan to MLS side New York City FC twice.

He reverted to Stuttgart after completing the 2019 MLS season and has now taken up the opportunity for regular game time in a familiar environment.

The left-sided player has signed a four-year contract with AIK, ending December 32, 2023.

Ebenezer Ofori, thus, teams up with compatriot Enock Kofi Adu who operates in similar midfield role at AIK. The 7-time capped Black Stars player also excels as a left-back.
