French side RC Strasbourg will look to succeed where they failed last summer with another attempt to sign Ghana forward Majeed Waris from FC Porto, L’Équipe has reported.
The struggling Ligue 1 outfit were among a number of French clubs who made moves to sign the ex-Valenciennes and Nantes man before he opted for a transfer deadline day move to Spanish side Deportivo Alaves which eventually failed.
Waris reverted to parent club Porto but he has been deemed surplus to requirement and has not played a minute since the 2019/20 season started.
And now the Alsatian club is said to have targeted signing the versatile 28-year-old when the winter transfer window opens in January 2020. A meeting would have already taken place with the representatives of Waris, the report, among others, further claimed.
