Shaibu Zida elected final member of GFA Executive Council

Upper East Regional FA Chairman, Alhaji Salifu Shaibu Zida has been duly elected by Congress as a member of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Alhaji Zida, who contested the elections against Central Regional chairman Robert Duncan, received six out of seven votes with one abstention during the 25th GFA Ordinary Congress held on Thursday at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

The composition of the 12-member GFA Executive Council is now complete and as follows:

Per his election, Alhaji Zida will chair the Referees’ Appointment Committee of the GFA for the upcoming season.

The Ghana Football Association is set to launch the new season on Friday, December 21, 2019 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
