Official: Hearts sign goalkeeper Attah on free transfer

Hearts of Oak have completed the signing of former Elmina Sharks goalkeeper Richard Attah on a free transfer.

The Phobians confirmed the new arrival on Sunday afternoon, saying he signed “a long term deal” which Footy-Ghana.com understands to be three years.

The 24-year-old run down his contract with Elmina Sharks a couple of days ago to reunite with coach Kim Grant. The two worked together when Grant was Technical Director for Sharks in 2017.

Richard Attah, who kept an impressive 21 clean sheets in 31 home matches for Sharks, is highly tipped take over as first choice stopper at Hearts. He will be in competition with the experienced Ben Mensah as well as youngsters Richmond Ayi and Richard Baidoo.

The Phobians are stepping up preparations for the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League which has been slated for December 28 kickoff.
