President of Fifa, the world football governing body – Gianni Infantino has hosted has held a fruitful meeting with the latest leader of one of his member associations, Ghana.
Kurt E.S Okraku, who was elected president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on October 25, met Infantino at the Fifa headquarters in Switzerland on Thursday.
Parts of a GFA statement on the meeting reads:
“In his congratulatory message following his election, the Fifa President extended an invitation to Kurt Okraku to visit the Home of Football in Switzerland for a discussion on the development of Ghana football.
“Thursday’s meeting was a response to the invitation and it has set the tone for the strengthening of relationship between the GFA and Fifa
“The meeting touched on a wide range of issues on Ghana football including administration, refereeing, coaching, finance and logistics.”
