Club captain Fatawu Mohammed has signed a new contract with Hearts of Oak, committing the defender to the oldest Ghanaian topflight club until December 2021.
The right-back’s contract was due in a couple of months but has now signed a two-year extension after protracted talks.

Fatawu Mohammed, 27, is one of the long-serving members of the current Hearts of Oak team. He joined the club from Real Tamale United in 2013.
After missing out on last week’s President’s Cup defeat to Kotoko, Fatawu is expected to lead Hearts when they kick off their 2019/20 Ghana Premier League campaign against Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
