2019/20 GPL: Yahaya Mohammed nets first hat-trick

Yahaya Mohammed got his season off to a blistering start in the goal king race with a hat-trick as defending champions Aduana Stars mauled Inter Allies 4-0 on the opening day of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

The experienced striker threw down the gauntlet with a quick-fire brace, scoring in the 14^th and 18^th minutes to see Aduana take a 2-0 lead into the break at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park.

Yahaya then ensured the match ball was his for the taking by completing his treble with another strike on 72 minutes.

When it all looked sealed, left-back Justice Anane capped an exciting afternoon for the Dormaa faithful with a stoppage-time goal. 4-0 it ended.

Aduana appear to have a knack for walloping Inter Allies in Dormaa as the Fire Boys similarly smashed the ‘Eleven Is To One’ 6-0 in the truncated 2017/18 GPL on April 1, 2019.
