Messie Jessie Oved Nkounkou Mvoutou will head the quartet of referees to officiate Ghana’s second game in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying away to São Tomé and Principe on Monday, November 18.
The match scheduled for the Estadio Nacional 12 de Julho kicks off at 13:00 GMT.
Nkounkou of Congo will be aided by compatriots Styven Daniel Moutsassi Moyo (Assistant 1), Beaudrel Ntsele Roul (Assistant 2) and Lazard Tsiba Kamba (Fourth official).
Angola’s Jose Fernando Macao will serve as the Match Commissioner while Evarist Menkounde from Cameroon will be the Referee Assessor.
Nkounkou has never been previously involved in a Ghana national team match. However, he has officiated two interclub competition matches involving Medeama and Aduana Stars in recent years.
The 32-year-old was in charge when Medeama travelled to beat Panthers FC 2-1 in the preliminary round of the 2014 Caf Confederation Cup. Nkounkou also directed affairs when Aduana defeated Al-Tahaddy 2-0 at Dormaa in the prelims of the 2018 Caf Champions League.
Ghana won their opening match in Group C of the Cameroon 2021 qualifiers by beating South Africa 2-0 at home last Thursday.
The game against São Tomé will be the last on the 2019 calendar for the Black Stars.
