Tokyo 2020Q: Ref. Juliet Appiah, three others on Nigeria vs Cote d’Ivoire duty

Four Ghanaian referees, led by Juliet Appiah, have been appointed to handle the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games third qualifying round decider between Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire on Monday.

Juliet Appiah will act as centre referee for the match set for the Agege Stadium in Lagos.

Flanking her on the lines are compatriots Darko Doris Essuman (Assistant 1) and Chakule Alice (Assistant 2).

Also, Joyce Appiah is to act as the fourth official.

The Super Falcons travelled to play out a 0-0 draw with Cote d’Ivoire in Abidjan last Thursday and must win at home to advance to the penultimate round of the African qualifiers to the women’s football tournament at Tokyo 2020.

The aggregate winner on Monday advances to face either Cameroon or the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the fourth round scheduled for November.
