Kwaku Yeboah resigns as NC spokesperson

Popular sports journalist Dan Kwaku Yeboah has stepped down from his position as spokesperson for the Normalization Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The ‘surprise’ decision, which comes barely a month to the end of the Fifa-Ghana government committee, was made official last week when he handed over a Communication and CSR Policy document to the GFA.

Though Kwaku Yeboah’s reason(s) for leaving is yet to be known, close sources say the resignation has been lingering in recent months.

The broadcaster is said to have been facing challenges in his line of duty and was not enjoying the working relationship with the leader of the Normalization Committee, Dr. Kofi Amoah who stands accused of running a parallel communication system.

It will be recalled that Dan Kwaku Yeboah was first made the voice of the two-man Fifa/Caf Liaison team of Dr. Kofi Amoah and Oti Akenteng when the duo received the mandate to manage football in Ghana immediately after the Anas exposé.

And when Fifa, in consultation with the Government of Ghana, set up a 4-member Normalization Committee to reform the country’s football, Kwaku Yeboah was also made Public Relations Officer of the GFA. That appointment was delayed until two weeks after the NC had started work.
