Nana Bonsu extends Rangers stay

Ghana goalkeeper, Nana Bonsu has signed a two-year contract extension with Nigeria’s Rangers International Football Club.

The former AshantiGold shot-stopper joined the Enugu-based outfit in 2016.

His new deal will see him stay at the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) outfit till 2021.

Bonsu, since his arrival, has been splendid for Rangers in the domestic league and Cup outings as well as continental competitions.

Last year, he came off the bench to help his side lift the Aiteo Cup after being 3-0 down to Kano Pillars with few minutes to end the game. Rangers pulled parity and the game was pushed to penalties. Bonsu saved two kicks during the penalties to aid Rangers secure the trophy.

He was tipped to earn Black Stars ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations due to impressive form at club level.

Bonsu is expected to replicate his great performances in the upcoming season for Rangers in the 2019/20 NPFL season, which is slated to kick-start September 22.
