Black Stars ‘B’ coach, Maxwell Konadu has invited 29 players to camp for preparations towards two upcoming crucial assignments.
The home-based senior national team have quite a tight calendar from September where they are scheduled to combine playing the final qualifying round to the 2020 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) and the 2019 Wafu Cup of Nations set for Senegal.
Ghana are to play Burkina Faso over two legs for a ticket to CHAN 2020 on September 20 and October 18 in Kumasi and Ouagadougou respectively. And in between is the Wafu Cup of Nations scheduled for September 28 to October 13.
Parts of a Ghana FA statement announcing coach Konadu’s squad said: “The selected players are however informed to hold themselves ready as details of the commencement date for camping and venue will be communicated in due course.
It further added that “players of AshantiGold SC and Asante Kotoko have not been invited to camp due to their upcoming Caf Confederation Cup and Champions League matches respectively.”
