Four-time Ghanaian champions AshantiGold Sporting Club have set up an Interim Management Committee (IMC) to steer the day-to-day affairs of the side.
The Obuasi-based outfit, through a statement Wednesday, indicated that five men – Alhassan Abdul Rahman, Mark Mensah, Seth Boakye Agyemang, Joseph Kwame Nimo-Poku and George Asiedu – have been appointed to work with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frederick Acheampong.
The IMC has been tasked to work “to enhance operational activities of the club until substantive management is announced.”
“The club will in the near future announce the composition of Board of Directors,” the statement added.
The release also named freelance journalist Nuhu Adams has joined Daniel Bioh in the Communication Department of the Miners.
AshantiGold will play as hosts to Akonangui Fútbol Club in the second leg of the 2019/20 Caf Confederation Cup preliminary round Saturday. The Miners held the Equatoguineans to a 1-1 draw in the opening leg.
