Turkish Ümit Turmuş joins Inter Allies as Technical Advisor

Turkish trainer Ümit Turmuş has been announced new Technical Advisor for Ghanaian topflight side Inter Allies.

The 1960-born temporarily fills the void created by the exit of coach Rashid Iddi who requested to be allowed to attend to his religious duties as deputy chief Imam for the Central Region.

Turmuş – who was seen at the bench of the Capelli Boys in Wednesday’s defeat to Hearts of Oak – takes charge of the team in a stop-gap role until the end of the ongoing Normalization Special Cup.

“Inter Allies FC is delighted to welcome Mr. Umit Turmus a Turkish Technical man to the Club’s Technical Department.

“He has been handed the role of Technical Advisor till the end of June 2019.

“He is to collaborate with the Technical Director Willie Klutse to help outline a new philosophy for the Club,” a club statement read.

Footy-Ghana.com understands that Ümit Turmuş has been in Ghana for the past couple of months on a scouting mission for some Turkish clubs and briefly worked with lower tier side Pacific Heroes.

Ümit Turmuş comes with a wealth of experience, having worked for the Arsenal Academy in the 80s, several Turkish clubs including Antalyaspor, Malatyaspor and Altay S.K as well as Cameroonian side Racing FC Bafoussam.
