#NCSpecial: Karela come from behind to hold Dreams

Dreams FC failed to pick all three points as they were held to a 1-1 stalemate by visiting Karela United at the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu on match day two of the Ghana FA Normalization Committee Special Competition Wednesday afternoon.

Having suffered a 1-0 defeat against Hearts last weekend, Dreams FC started the game as wounded lions, scoring first through Samuel Alarbi. However, Diawise Taylor pulled parity for the visitors few minutes after recess.

The Still Believe Boys took off with high pressing in search for the opener. And in the 27th minute, they broke the deadlock via a spot kick. Samuel Alarbi expertly converted the penalty by sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.

Dreams pushed more men upfront in a bid to double their lead but failed to utilize the chances that came through

After recess, Diawise Taylor leveled up for the visitors with his second goal in the competition. He meandered his way through the defence of Dreams before slotting home from a close range.

Both sides fought hard in search of the winner but for lack of precision upfront.

While Dreams secure their first point, Karela are unbeaten with four points from back-to-back away games. They next host Hearts of Oak at Aiyinase in the match-day three round of games on Sunday.
