#NCSpecial: Hearts slip to second defeat on the bounce at Karela

Hearts of Oak fell to their second consecutive defeat, 1-0, away to Karela United in the Normalization Special Cup on Sunday.

The hosts progressively dominated the game and scored in the first half to carry the day at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park in Aiyinase.

Striker Solomon Sarfo Taylor netted the Premier B match-day 3 fixture’s only goal just three minutes to the end of the first half when he connected well to a Patrick Yeboah free-kick from the left with a fine header past goalkeeper Richmond Ayi.

Both sides shuffled their pack in the second half but no further goal was produced though the hosts mostly came closer to scoring.

Karela, after the victory, top the Premier B log with 7 points from three games. Hearts on the other hand occupy sixth position with three points.
