Nkana FC President Charles Chakatayza has denied reports they are eager to sign Songne Yacouba from Asante Kotoko.
Reports in the local media suggested Kalampa were interested in the Burkinabe attacker and had even made advances towards landing his services.
“We have watched Yacouba and he is a fine footballer but there has been no move for him yet. We know the rules and if we want him then that means we have to request from Kotoko. Well, you never know,” he told Nhyira FM.

Commenting on the rumoured transfer, Nkana FC Vice President Patrick Ndovu also said:
“That’s how football clubs work, if Kotoko is interested in buying some of our players the doors are open to them and I think they will also open their doors for us if we also show interest in their player. For now, we have no interest in Yacouba.”
Scoring once and assisting four times, Yacouba has been a key man in Kotoko’s campaign in the Confederation Cup.
The Porcupines will face Nkana FC on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Al Hilal also host ZESCO United in the other Group C encounter.
