Caf CC: Zabo debuts in Kotoko XI vs ZESCO

Ivorian forward Dany Zabo Teguy has been handed a starting berth in Asante Kotoko’s crucial duel with ZESCO United on matchday 6 of the 2018/19 Caf Confederation Cup group stage.

The Porcupine Warriors need a win away in Ndola to secure qualification to the quarter-final stage of the tourney after drawing with Sudan side Al-Hilal in Kumasi.

Zabo, who was signed ahead of the competition’s group stages, has not featured in any contest for the club but only earned a spot on the Kotoko bench at home to Nkana. He replaces suspended attacker Songne Yacouba.

Also starting a competitive game for the second time is Habib Mohammed. The former AshantiGold defender is to handle the defensive midfield role as Kwame Bonsu and Umar Basiru control attacking duties.

CK Akonnor has maintained the same back-line used against Hilal as he battles for a second away triumph since beating Coton Sport de Garoua of Cameroon.

Kickoff is at 16:00 GMT.
