Asante Kotoko midfielder Umar Basiru says his side cannot afford to drop points when they come up against Nkana FC Sunday afternoon.
The Porcupine Warriors welcome the Zambian giants on match day 4 of the 2018/19 Confederation Cup to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Nkana FC secured a 3-1 home win last Sunday in Kitwe which saw them move to the summit of Group C on six points.
Speaking at the pre-match presser Saturday afternoon, Basiru indicated that the lack of competitive football in Ghana has affected the conditioning of the Reds.
“Tomorrow’s game is like a decider for us if we want to move to the next level of the competition.” Umar Basiru.
“The lack of Premier League football in Ghana is affecting our conditioning, but we have to forget about it, move on with our preparations and make sure that we make ourselves ready for every game we go into.”
The game is scheduled to take place at 16:00 GMT.
