Fred Pappoe likely to contest GFA Presidency

Top administrator Fred Pappoe has revealed his interest in becoming the next President of the Ghana Football Association.

The former Vice President of the GFA says it is likely he will stage a comeback into leadership position at the federation following his exit from the Executive Committee in 2015.

“It is very likely that I’ll contest the elections. I have been speaking to people and they keep encouraging me to contest,” he told Asempa FM.

The Great Olympics Director’s statement places him in a top list of other astute football administrators who have expressed their desire to be the next GFA Capo after the tenure of the Normalization Committee.

George Afriyie, Kurt Okraku, Nana Yaw Amponsah and Wilfred Osei have all been widely reported as interested candidates.

The others include Kudjoe Fianoo, Alhaji Karim Grunzah and Alhaji Ali Raji.
